The project involved refurbishing and installing hydraulic cylinders on a National Heritage Site run by the National River Trust. Hedley carried out the removal of the original hydraulic cylinders and refurbishment, working collaboratively with NEC3. Then installing the refurbished hydraulic cylinders to the west side cassion of the boat lift, also replacing all the hydraulic hoses, with stainless-steel over braid complete with stainless-steel asset tag, all pressure tested and cleaned. We also replaced the stainless-steel static pipework which we preassembled at the Hedley Hydraulics workshop and took to site for the final installation.
Hedley worked in conjunction with a multidisciplinary team to overcome any restrictions of the site such as constraints of access, the heritage site and time constraints. Working to the deadline was met and the installation was a success.
